Several bright objects were seen traveling quickly in the skies off the coast of Ireland. Several commercials airline pilots reported a series of fast-moving unidentified objects in the skies off the west coast of Ireland last week in an incident now under investigation. The incident began when a British Airways pilot flying from Montreal to London’s Heathrow Airport contacted Shannon Air Traffic Control in Ireland to ask if there were any military aircraft in the vicinity. One pilot said the object or objects were traveling at “astronomical” speeds of at least Mach 2, or twice the speed of sound, The Irish Times reported. The pilot replied that two objects had approached on the left and then “rapidly” veered toward the north. “We saw a bright light and it just disappeared at a very high speed,” she said. “Glad it wasn’t just me,” the Norwegian Air pilot flying from Stewart Airport in New York to Shannon, Ireland said.A Virgin Airlines flight from Orlando to Manchester, UK, then reported “two bright lights” that “seemed to bank over to the right and then climb away at high speed.”  The pilot described “a meteor or another object making some kind of reentry, appears to be multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory, very bright from where we were.”

The British Airways flight was a Boeing 787, the Virgin aircraft was a Boeing 747 and the Norwegian Air flight was a Boeing 737, The Irish Examiner reported. Very interesting report on Shannon high level Friday 9 November at 0630z with multiple aircraft with reported sightings of a UFO over County Kerry. A spokesperson for Shannon Airport told the broadcaster that there would be no comment until an investigation is completed. According to the BBC, the Irish Aviation Authority is now investigating the reports of “unusual air activity.” At least one expert said he knows what the object was ― and it wasn’t a UFO. David Moore, head of Astronomy Ireland, told the Irish Times that he was “1,000 percent sure” it was a meteorite and had received at least four reports of a fireball from people on the country’s west coast. “We had some reports of a massive fireball this morning!” Astronomy Ireland wrote on Friday. That report said it was moving “quite slow” and noted that it “broke up into several pieces.” His organization also noted the sighting at the time on Facebook. In response to a question about the UFO sighting, the organization wrote that a fireball breaking up “really does look like a fleet of aircraft/UFO’s (sic) flying by.”

Sign, Road, Road Sign, Traffic

Almost as soon as the incident began, people started posting images and videos on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, the set of lights hovering over San Diego on Wednesday night left many wondering just what they could be. At first, the footage showed a single set of lights, hovering in place: “They were hovering in place and they were extremely bright,” Uma Aggarwa told the San Diego Union-Tribune, “It was the craziest thing.” She spotted the lights at 8:20 p.m., which would be a little more than an hour after sunset. The lights were soon joined by a second, smaller set just above. Then, the lights vanished. Reports of sightings came from as far as Del Mar, to the city’s north, San Ysidro, which is to the south along the Mexican border, and La Mesa, about 10 miles to the east, local TV station KUSI reported.

A nighttime mystery in the skies? It was for a little while as tweeters floated theories ranging from drones to UFOs to exercises conducted by the military. One of those theories turned out to be correct… and it wasn’t the UFOs: A Navy spokesperson says those lights seen in the sky tonight are flares. An aircraft squadron is performing “flare training” about 30 miles off the coast of San Diego. The lights might be seen intermittently through Thursday night, when the drills are expected to end. CBS 8 reported that the flares were specifically from Squadron VMGR-325 (a.k.a. “The Raiders”) or the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 352, part of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing based at nearby Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. But not everyone was buying it, @tomdelonge What do you make of this? It was in our (San Diego) night sky tonight. The official word is that it was a military flare exercise. I don’t agree. https://www.10news.com/news/san-diego

A high school football coach in Los Angeles Luis Barajas, was canned  Aug. 7 as coach of the Bernstein High School varsity football team in Hollywood for not telling parents that two students allegedly spiked the water at a team practice with a male enhancement drug, he was investigated for an alleged July 12 incident where two students put the drug in the junior varsity team’s water, The Los Angeles Times reported. An investigation by the Los Angeles Unified School District discovered that the coach didn’t bother to notify school officials or parents that players had possibly ingested contaminated water until two weeks later, according to the Times. A district spokeswoman said investigators “did not find evidence that any student actually drank the contaminated water.”

The district spokeswoman said in addition, she told the Times, the water was never tested because it had been discarded by the time the allegation was reported. So far, it looks like there was no enhancement to the team’s on-the-field performance. The season record is currently 1-3, according to USA Today. “No parent complaints were received at Bernstein, school police [were] not involved, no testing of the alleged contaminated water took place and there [were] no student illness reports,” Officials also said Barajas committed numerous other violations, including failure to secure a practice permit, insufficiently vetting an assistant coach and allowing players to practice before they received academic eligibility, according to CBS Sports.

Morgan told the Boston Globe that although the gym was pretty packed with patrons, Stagno kept to himself and seemed unaware that he was upsetting others. He was arrested without incident. Some gym customers said they suspected Stagno was under the influence of something. “Some of the comments some witnesses gave were that they felt uncomfortable, disgusted, sick and unsafe,” “There were more witnesses coming forward than we could take names.”  Morgan told the Globe. Stagno “did have some drug paraphernalia in his possession,” but it was unclear if he was under the influence. No, I don’t think you should be at the gym naked,” gym member Kat Lancaster told New Hampshire news channel WMUR.  According to the Planet Fitness website, the chain promises a “Judgment Free Zone,” not a clothing-free zone,” Morgan noted to the Globe.
