40,000 Feet Over Arizona American Airlines Pilot Reports UFO WITH ‘Big Reflection’

The Feb. 24th incident began when the pilot of a Learjet reported an object to Albuquerque Center air traffic control while flying over the desert in southeastern Arizona. Air traffic controllers asked the pilot of a nearby American Airlines passenger jet traveling from San Francisco to Dallas to let them know if anything passes over the aircraft. “If anything passes over us?” one pilot asked, somewhat incredulously. Pilots on two separate aircraft reported an unidentified flying object high over southern Arizona last month. One of them, a commercial pilot flying a passenger jet for American Airlines, said the object was above 40,000 feet and “had a big reflection. The reported altitude would put the UFO well above the range of consumer drones. Yet the vague nature of the sightings doesn’t completely rule out balloons or experimental aircraft. A few minutes later, he saw it ― whatever “it” was. ”It wasn’t an airplane, I don’t know what it was, it”s path was going in the opposite direction,” the pilot said. “Something just passed over us,, I don’t know what it was, but it was at least two, three thousand feet above us,” he said. “Yeah it passed right over the top of us.”

Two months later, it’s still not clear what was up there.  Audio of the mysterious aircraft encounter was first posted on The Drive. “Was it a Google balloon?” traffic control asked? “Doubtful,” the pilot replied. “UFO,” someone responded matter-of-factly. “We don’t have any comment beyond what you hear,” FAA spokesperson Lynn Lunsford told KOB, the NBC station in Albuquerque. “Other than the brief conversation between two aircraft, the controller was unable to verify that any other aircraft was in the area.” The sightings occurred near the Davis–Monthan Air Force Base, and about 100 miles from Luke Air Force Base. Several other bases are within 500 miles. However, Lunsford implied that air traffic controllers would likely know if there was military aircraft in the air. “We have a close working relationship with a number of other agencies and safely handle military aircraft and civilian aircraft of all types in that area every day, including high-altitude weather balloons,” Lunsford was quoted as saying. The location of the sightings was also about 500 miles west of one of the most famous UFO incidents in U.S. history: The 1947 UFO “crash” at Roswell, New Mexico. The federal government later said the object was a high-altitude balloon sent up to look for signs of a possible Soviet nuclear test.

Texas Politician Suggest E.T.s Need Religion As He Alienates Twitter Users

Eu sei que muitas vezes queremos uma foto para um fundo de tela de ce… #diversos # Diversos # amreading # books # wattpad

Jonathan Stickland, a GOP State Rep. was mocked after suggesting that aliens would have to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior if they wanted to visit heaven. After The New York Times posted a story about the Pentagon’s UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) Task Force, a Texas state representative alienated many Twitter users Friday with his comments on extraterrestrials. Republican Rep. Jonathan Stickland suggested that if ETs exist, they will need extra help if they want to get to heaven. IF aliens are real, Salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way they enter Heaven. Stickland described himself as a “Christian conservative liberty-loving Republican,” but many of his Twitter followers weren’t impressed with the theological implications of his tweet. Pat McDonald, replying to Rep. Jonathan Stickland”s comments, That’s a pretty arrogant statement. Given that they’re likely not human, and are evolved beyond the mental constructs of heaven and hell. Or James Hamric who said, I don’t even know where to start. It is a virtual certainty that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe. But why would they need salvation? And why is salvation only available through your god? If they reach us, they are far more advanced than we are.

Most alien life forms are not dumb enough to blindly follow a make-believe invisible man in the sky and some desert dude that was created by a bunch of other men in a desert thousands of years ago. In fact, that is most likely the reason why they are staying the HELL away from us says Falbi a Twitter user. Libtard Jesus, Acting Director of Everything said, Maybe they have their own sky god(s). Maybe THEY created us. Maybe your god was a precocious child of theirs that ran away and made a mess in a mud puddle. All this and more is possible. Why would God hold them accountable to the savior of mankind? Wouldn’t they get one of their own? What if they’re still in his good graces an not in need of salvation?! *humans are the bad ones* One last thought from Mandi @mandymais, Wow, aliens haven’t even been confirmed and Christians already trying to push their religion on them. One person jokingly offered some sage advice. jimmyo @jimmyotx, A little too early to be smoking weed dude.

World’s Shortest Man Regains His Former Title

World's shortest men – dead or alive!! - Taaza Khabar News

Colombia man was first declared the shortest mobile male in 2010, only to lose the title to two others. Guinness World Records announced on Tuesday that it has found Edward Niño Hernández to be the shortest living man who is mobile. It’s déjà vu for a Colombian man who has just been declared the world’s shortest man. But this isn’t the first world record rodeo for the 2-foot-4.3938-inch resident of Bogota, who turned 34 on Sunday. Hernández was previously awarded the shortest living man (mobile) title in April 2010, when he measured in at 2 feet, 3.64 inches tall. Later that year, Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal, who stood 2 feet, 2.41 inches tall became the new record holder. He later lost the title to a fellow Nepal citizen: 1-foot-9.5-inch Chandra Bahadur Dangi. Both of those men have since died so the title is now passed once again to Hernández. Hernández received his second “shortest man” certificate at a medical clinic in his home city before social distancing guidelines were implemented, according to a Guinness World Records release.

Edward Niño Hernández is the world's shortest man (mobile), according to Guinness World Records

When readers leaf through the pages of the Guinness World Record books, there are a few record titles that are remembered for their iconic, timeless and noteworthy nature. After turning 34 on 10 May, Edward can now begin his new year of age with a fantastic new record title; one that he achieved with a height of 72.10 cm (2 ft 4.3938 in) tall. Although his short stature made him a world record holder, he said his big smile was his real secret weapon. Meanwhile, 1-foot-11.6-inch Junrey Balawing of the Philippines remains the shortest non-mobile man. “I use my smile to conquer the world! I always share my big smile with everyone; that’s my charm. I can achieve everything I propose to myself,” Hernández said in the release. “Everything is possible. … Size and height don’t matter! I want people to meet who I truly am: small in size, big in heart!”

COVID-19 NO DEATH FOR LIVE MUSIC

The Crow here for c4ocradio

Rockin' in a COVID-19-free world | Letters from home ...

Musicians have been oscillating between keeping busy and feeling a bit isolated since coronavirus stay-at-home orders came down in the month of March, 2020. It’s a real dichotomy between staying at home and being creative for most artists and musicians , finding that part of yourself, trying to improve, while staying relevant with fans. Whatever the chosen system is to get through this pandemic most performers are finding creative ways to stay on top of there game and in front of the paying audience. We have come to accept as a way of life, be it permanent or temporary, that music is and will be the last part of the recovery from a pandemic that is now being questioned as weather we should have, and still continue to shut down a once thriving economy. In the early days of March, when COVID-19 was just beginning to spread in the U.S. I watched the music scene transform in front of my eyes. From Instagram to TikTok, our new pop culture demands that stars be both accessible and vulnerable online amid the pandemic. In the weeks since social distancing began in earnest, there have been numerous articles written about how celebrities and musicians are basically losing it. The live music culture is in a weird place. All these livestreams  and all these posts are giving us a concentrated, heightened look at the new normal for the music culture.

Covid-19, Coronavirus, Social Distance

We are firmly and deeply submerged in the age of livestreem performances as social media “influence.” on how we view and support live concerts and local acts. As more people are finding fame, notoriety and lucrative careers through “content” creation on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, the idea of what fame is — and who gets to be famous — has drastically shifted. Now, people are as inclined to be obsessed over there favorite local acts as they are over national acts. The contrast of our current music landscape with that of even 20 years ago is profound. It used to be that part of the luster for stars to resided in their carefully manufactured distance, now it’s practiced as the normal by the industry as a whole. t’s about staying relevant, by any means necessary. The internet has proven to be a powerful tool in harnessing the ability to keep people engaged. But we’ve entered a new reality, in which a harsh light shines on all this placating distraction and has further revealed the serious cracks in the foundation of American life.” Most of us are plugged in to the social media matrix and trying to figure it out. Our pop cultural landscape is just changing in fascinating, entertaining and often cringe-worthy ways.

Officials Block Sex Doll Brothel In Houston, Tx. USA

Sylvester Turner, Houston Mayor, told reporters “You cannot engage in sexual activities with any inanimate objects at the business.” (Reuters) – The Houston City Council on Wednesday prevented what was billed as the first brothel in the United States equipped with sex dolls from opening in the Texas city. The council altered a local ordinance to block the business and any others like it. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner told reporters after the council meeting that the vote amounted to a modification of an existing city ordinance and was not targeted at any specific business. The Houston Chronicle reported that Toronto-based KinkySdollS had planned to open a Houston location, where customers could both buy “adult love dolls” and rent them for use in private rooms.

“You cannot engage in sexual activities with any inanimate objects at the business,” Turner said in explaining the change. KinkySdollS founder, Yuval Gavriel, said he is talking to lawyers about suing the city over its decision. People will still be able to buy the dolls, he said. “We are investigating our options,” he said in a telephone interview. The company has opened a similar business in Toronto, according to its website. Matt McMullen has been creating realistic-looking human dolls for sex since 1997. He tells 60 Second Docs the technology needed to make raunchier robots is getting better all the time. People spend $5,000-to-$10,000 for lifelike dolls, but McMullen believes the real value is making the sex doll experience as real as possible. “One day two people who are on two different sides of the Earth could engage sexually, through their dolls while in a virtual environment together. But until then sex doll brothels might become the norm. “For some people, this is what they really want and it makes them happy and I don’t think anyone should judge them for that.” “We just have to come to terms with each other and say, ‘OK, that’s for you, this is for me,’” he said.

Amid Coronavirus Outbreak Pot Shops Are Thriving

Governor Gavin Newsom of California on Thursday sent shockwaves through the West Coast when he officially ordered all 40 million of the state’s residents essentially shelter in place (meaning stay home unless buying basic necessities or seeking medical care). Perhaps surprisingly, among the “essential services” that he deemed will remain open — on top of pharmacies and food stores — was, marijuana dispensaries. Popular dispensary MedMen, which operates 33 stores in nine states including 12 in California, says it is operating with modified hours, but all stores remain open (except for one in Monterey Bay, Calif. which is closed due to local jurisdiction). “We are closely following recent guidelines released by each state and local jurisdiction, plus that of the CDC and the WHO in the best interest of our customers and employees and have adopted the recommended safety protocol.” “As of now, we have been deemed an essential business in the markets that have established protocol,” Christian Langbein, the company’s spokesperson says. In the two months since the first case of COVID-19 landed in the U.S., the nation’s private sector is a changed place. As a company seemingly unscathed by the coronavirus outbreak thus far, MedMen is in the minority.  Over half of America has closed all non-essential businesses, — from festivals, to theme parks, to cruise ships, all motor sports and professional sports teams  have hit pause on their seasons and the financial market may be on the verge of a crash.

But amid the colossal shifts, the cannabis industry seems poised to stay afloat.Denver-based Medicine Man, tells Yahoo Lifestyle that in the weeks since the coronavirus began spreading rapidly, its sales have actually escalated. Sally Van der Veer, the dispensary’s CEO says, “Our numbers are significantly higher than they would normally be this time of year,” “For the most part, we’re seeing customers who are grateful that we are open because they wouldn’t be able to get their medicine elsewhere..” They can be in and out in 30 seconds,” says Van der Veer. “On the floor of our dispensaries, we have tape to ensure that we’re maintaining six feet of distance between every customer. All our budtenders are wearing gloves and using hand sanitizer or washing their hands in between each transaction. ” Van der Veer says the distinction of “essential services” in the time of the coronavirus makes sense both for citizens and the state of the cannabis industry as a whole.

Pot Vendors In Illinois Earn A Record $3.2 Million On First Day Of Legal Weed Sales

Illinois is the 11th state to legalize cannabis for adult use. Vendors started the new year by bringing in nearly $3.2 million on the state’s first day of legal recreational cannabis sales. There were long lines and more than 77,000 transactions on Wednesday, according to former state Sen. Toi Hutchinson, who oversees the state’s new equity-focused recreational cannabis program for Gov. J.B. Pritzker. Alex Hanns @alexhanns NEWS: @ToiHutchinson announces first day adult-use cannabis sales figures in Illinois — $3,176,256.71 in sales  — 77,128 transactions
“Sales are great, but let’s never lose sight of the impact we’re having on families around the state. Pritzker’s office did not immediately provide the amount of tax revenue the state received from the sales. Illinois state taxes on cannabis products range from 10% to 25%, depending on the product’s concentration of THC. A first day of $3,176,256.71 in sales would bring in an estimated $317,000 for the state at a minimum, and about $794,000 at most, not including sales tax.

View image on Twitter

Michigan, which implemented recreational marijuana in December, saw about $221,000 in sales on its first day, according to the Detroit Free Press. Colorado, one of the first states to legalize recreational marijuana, saw a little more than $1 million in sales on its first day of legalization in 2014. The whopping $3.2 million spent in Illinois on Wednesday greatly surpasses first-day sales in other states where recreational cannabis is legal. Hutchinson said on Wednesday. “Today is a historic new day, and as we move forward with growing this industry, I thank all those who worked hard to make the launch a success and will continue to dedicate themselves to expanding opportunities and righting the wrongs of the past.” “As we start a new decade, Illinois has achieved a monumental milestone ― launching the legalization of cannabis in a way that includes communities left behind for far too long, creates good jobs and expunges thousands of records for those who have lost out on opportunities and ends prohibition.” Under the state’s law, Illinois residents who are 21 and older are allowed to possess up to 30 grams of cannabis, and nonresidents can possess up to 15 grams.

If ever anyone deserved to have a few stiff shots right now, it’s the social media team at Tito’s Vodka. The Texas-based distillery’s social media team probably needs a few stiff shots. Since Monday, Twitter users have suggested using the Austin, Texas-based distillery’s product to make hand sanitizer.  The tweets range from the possibly serious to the probably not serious at all, yet in all cases, Tito’s social media team responded with the same consistent message: Please. Just. Don’t.  Here’s the warning the brand was forced to issue in tweet after tweet:

Some people were happy Tito’s was so frank that its vodka lacked coronavirus-fighting capabilities. Marin Sarah @MarionBurr5; Thanks Igor for that public service announcement. Russell Borogove @mister_borogove; Bacardi 151 not only works as hand sanitizer, but when burned with liquid oxygen it makes a fair rocket engine fuel; the Redstone rocket that put the first American in space used 75%/25% ethanol/water: Micheal Hodapp @michealhodapp; thought there was a simple solution, Replying to @TitosVodka @cpmaher17; Perhaps you can consider the development of a special edition in response to this crisis? Meanwhile, some people knew who the real heroes were, God bless you, social media person who has to keep tweeting this all day. You deserve a raise. A Tito’s spokesperson told HuffPost that the company wanted to set the record straight “as soon as we saw the incorrect articles and social posts.”

Is There An Easier Way To Make THC Vape Pens Safer: Legalize Weed

The Crow here for c4ocradio.com

 Related imageRelated image

Over the past several months, seven people have died and nearly 400 others have gotten sick after using vape pens containing either nicotine or THC, the chemical in cannabis that makes you high. It’s causing a nationwide moral panic: Michigan’s governor enacted regulations that could result in 17-year-olds being hit with six-month jail sentences for every Juul pod in their possession. President Donald Trump has called for a similar nationwide ban on all flavored e-cigarettes. The demand for cannabis vapes has exploded over the past few years, and the illicit market has kept up with the trend. Consumers like vaping because it is more discreet and convenient than rolling a joint or carrying around a bong. Sellers like vapes too because the profit margins tend to be higher — especially on the illicit market, where sellers can save on costs by heavily diluting the THC oil. This haphazard “do something” approach ignores the fact that several of the people who got sick from vaping used pens filled with THC oil, which is already illegal in most states and under federal law. “Banning things — have we not learned that doesn’t curb use?” asked Jeffrey Raber, a chemist who founded a cannabis lab-testing facility in Los Angeles. Public health officials have not yet specified how many deaths and illnesses are linked to cannabis vape products — but there is only one known case involving a person who purchased a THC vape pen from a legal cannabis dispensary. Several of the other cases appear to involve people who bought illicit vapes, which are not subject to any regulations or testing.

California now has the most rigorous testing requirements: Every cannabis product sold in a licensed dispensary is tested for 66 types of pesticides, heavy metals, microbial pathogens and potency. A more effective way to prevent people from using marijuana vape pens that could kill them or make them sick would be to legalize weed so that consumers could have the option to buy regulated, lab-tested products. The public health benefit of legalizing and regulating marijuana is not hypothetical — it’s already happened in states that have done it. Back in 2017, before California’s testing requirements went into effect, around 70% of clients that submitted their product to cannabis-testing lab Cannasafe failed to meet standards the lab was using at the time, according to Antonio Frazier, the lab’s vice president of operations. These days, only 3-6% of Cannasafe’s clients fail to meet the state’s testing regulations. that’s because failing these testing requirements is a huge pain for cannabis companies. Products have to be quarantined. The manufacturer can either destroy the entire batch or submit a “corrective action plan” to the California Department of Public Health, which decides whether or not to approve the plan. “Our fail rate was much higher when no one was required to do it the right way,” Frazier said. “Without regulation, people aren’t going to do what’s right. This has been true in almost all industries.” Legalization and regulation isn’t a perfect solution. There is still a thriving illicit market in California for consumers who don’t want to pay dispensary prices or who live far away from licensed stores.
