Police in Hartford, Michigan, are currently investigating how a batch of 12 weed-laced desserts were distributed at Hartford High School on Sept. 26. Michael Prince, a Hartford patrolman, who is investigating the incident, told local station WWMT it’s one of the stranger cases he’s seen. A cheerleader’s dream of becoming homecoming queen may have gone to pot, just because of a few marijuana brownies. “We are investigating two things. Number 1, some were put in goody bags for players, Number 2, they were used to obtain votes for the queen contest.” According to WWMT. “You always think you’ve heard it all and seen it all, and there is always something new to surprise you,” Prince told the station. According to a note posted on Facebook by superintendent Andrew Hubbard, an investigation confirmed several students received brownies laced with marijuana.

Michigan State Police heard about the alleged brownie bribes via an anonymous tip, according to CBS Chicago. “All individuals involved are being dealt with according to our District Policies and Student Handbooks. Hubbard wrote, we have notified the Hartford Police Department and are assisting them in their criminal investigation of the matter. High school staff members recovered three of the brownies and sent them to the state police crime lab for testing to confirm the presence of drugs. The desserts have been sent to the state police crime lab for testing. The remaining nine are unaccounted for, and were possibly consumed by students, according to local station WXMI TV. The cheerleader whom he said is the main suspect is currently out of state, reportedly dealing with a family emergency. He told WXMI he hopes to interview her when she comes back to town. Prince says any students who distributed the brownies could face felony charges.

Sex Doll Brothel Is Blocked By Houston Officials

(Reuters) – The Houston City Council on Wednesday prevented what was billed as the first brothel in the United States equipped with sex dolls by altering a local ordinance to block the business and any others like it.  “You cannot engage in sexual activities with any inanimate objects at the business,” Turner said in explaining the change. The Houston Chronicle reported that Toronto-based KinkySdollS had planned to open a Houston location where customers could both buy “adult love dolls” and rent them for use in private rooms.

Mayor Sylvester Turner told reporters after the council meeting that the vote amounted to a modification of an existing city ordinance. People will still be able to buy the dolls, he said. The company has opened a similar business in Toronto, according to its website. “We are investigating our options,” he said in a telephone interview. KinkySdollS founder, Yuval Gavriel, said he is talking to lawyers about suing the city over its decision.

“It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring,”

the young voice echoed in the night.

“He went to bed and bumped his head,

and couldn’t get up in the morning.”

“I went cold and felt sick, The first time I heard it,” and thought ‘what on earth was that?’” one resident, who did not want to be named, told the BBC. The residents of a town in England have been haunted by the eerie sounds of a child singing an old nursery rhyme. And it was freaking people out. Alice Randle, who was among those who heard the voice, told the Independent. “It’s very haunting, people have said it’s like something out of Freddy Krueger.” It wasn’t a ghost or the “Nightmare on Elm Street” villain. But for some people, the culprit might be even creepier: Spiders.

The voice was part of a motion-activated security system at a nearby warehouse. “The sound is only supposed to act as a deterrent for opportunistic thieves that come onto our property. Spiders took over some of the lenses and when one of them crawled across, the system triggered and the recording played ― sometimes in the middle of the night, the Independent reported. “It sounded very eerie at that time of night,” a spokesperson for the Ipswich Borough Council told the newspaper. It’s designed only to be heard by people on our private land,” a spokesman for the company that owns the warehouse told the Ipswich Star. For now, the company is clearing away the cobwebs and turning down the volume.

This Couple’s First Kiss Comes When Her Guy Needs CPR

It happened last October, when a California couple had a memorable first kiss, one that saved the man’s life. 56-year-old Max Montgomery took Dr. Andi Traynor paddleboarding at a Santa Cruz beach. Things were going well until Montgomery suddenly felt a burning sensation in his chest and became exhausted, according to San Francisco station KGO TV. When Montgomery got out of the water, he fell to the ground, luckily, Traynor, a 45-year-old anesthesiologist based in Palo Alto, knew CPR, which she performed until paramedics arrived. “I wasn’t thinking about anything other than taking care of him,” she told KTLA TV. Montgomery’s heart was stopped for 17 minutes until doctors used a defibrillator on him.

Alexander Baker, who recorded the rescue, told KTLA TV that Montgomery is grateful it was caught on camera. The seriousness of the situation meant that their first kiss lacked romance but still meant a lot. Montgomery underwent coronary bypass surgery the next day, and he told Traynor he would understand if she didn’t want to keep seeing him, she told me she was not going anywhere,” he said, according to The Daily Mail. “A few weeks after his surgery he was recuperating and we were on the beach just talking,” she said, according to The Daily Mail. “I said, ‘You can kiss me for real now.’” The two are still going strong and have even started a nonprofit called Paddle4Good, which helps create adventure activities for people with physical or developmental needs, according to Yahoo. Best of all Baker said, “we got a do-over on that first kiss,” “we call it the kiss of life.”

A high school football coach in Los Angeles Luis Barajas, was canned  Aug. 7 as coach of the Bernstein High School varsity football team in Hollywood for not telling parents that two students allegedly spiked the water at a team practice with a male enhancement drug, he was investigated for an alleged July 12 incident where two students put the drug in the junior varsity team’s water, The Los Angeles Times reported. An investigation by the Los Angeles Unified School District discovered that the coach didn’t bother to notify school officials or parents that players had possibly ingested contaminated water until two weeks later, according to the Times. A district spokeswoman said investigators “did not find evidence that any student actually drank the contaminated water.”

The district spokeswoman said in addition, she told the Times, the water was never tested because it had been discarded by the time the allegation was reported. So far, it looks like there was no enhancement to the team’s on-the-field performance. The season record is currently 1-3, according to USA Today. “No parent complaints were received at Bernstein, school police [were] not involved, no testing of the alleged contaminated water took place and there [were] no student illness reports,” Officials also said Barajas committed numerous other violations, including failure to secure a practice permit, insufficiently vetting an assistant coach and allowing players to practice before they received academic eligibility, according to CBS Sports.

All activities are weather dependent, however, and could be postponed at a moment’s notice if it’s too windy or rainy. The mass ascent on Saturday morning did go ahead, but then Saturday afternoon and the one on Sunday morning canceled. Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and Friday afternoon’s mass ascents were also canceled, due to adverse weather. Check out these photographs from this years weekend event.

Scientists Think They’ve Solved, Figured Out Bermuda Triangle Mystery

The Crow here for c4ocradio.com

Bermuda Triangle Map

Over time, a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared there under mysterious circumstances. The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil’s Triangle, is a region in the North Atlantic that is generally bounded by Miami, Bermuda and Puerto Rico. Scientists believe they’ve solved the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle ― and it’s not UFOs or sea monsters. According to “The Bermuda Triangle Enigma” on Britain’s Channel 5, scientists now believe conditions in that area were just right for massive rogue waves. It’s another kind of monster: monster waves. University of Southampton oceanographer Simon Boxall said these rogue waves could reach 100 feet tall. That would be on par with the largest wave ever recorded: A 100-foot tsunami triggered by an earthquake and landslide in Alaska’s Lituya Bay in 1958, the Smithsonian reported. “There are storms to the south and north, which come together,” said Boxall, “And if there are additional ones from Florida, it can be a potentially deadly formation of rogue waves.”

Microburst clouds

With unsolved disappearances like the USS Cyclops, and the lost squadron of Flight 19, there are still plenty of mysteries surrounding this famous area of the Atlantic ocean. Using an indoor simulator, scientists discovered that a model of the USS Cyclops ― a ship that disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle in 1918 with 306 people aboard ― was swamped by a wave and sank. A report last year found that a design flaw would make the Cyclops especially susceptible to rogue waves. Two of the Cyclops’ sister ships, Proteus and Nereus, were later lost under similar circumstances, they were designed with the same flaws. They had a flat bottom, they rolled quite easily  “And to many vessels that could have just continued and caused a complete catastrophe.” and one day they rolled approximately 50 degrees one way, and in the high 40s the other way,” author Marvin W. Barrash told Forces News. Additional simulations showed that a rogue wave of 50 feet would be enough to sink the flat-bottomed ships, Forces News reported. There is nothing particularly hazardous about the Bermuda Triangle: The U.S. Coast Guard said in there statement.  “When foul weather or poor navigation is involved, it can be a very deadly place.  “Environmental considerations could explain many, if not most, of the disappearances,” the agency said. This is true all over the world.”

What An Incredible Row It Is, Duck Gets Babies In A Row

An amateur wildlife photographer took some photos and now the internet, and the rest of the media world just can’t get enough of the waterfowl, a mama duck took some babies for a swim on Lake Bemidji in Minnesota, the photographer, Brent Cizek, who captured the image of the adult common merganser taking dozens of ducklings, “(the number of ducklings:” 76). for a swim also has something to do with it. Cizek told The New York Times that he didn’t know that a duck could care for that many chicks, he first spotted the ducks in late June. “It was mind blowing,” he said. Actually, it’s not so uncommon, the National Audubon Society says on its website, if ducklings get separated from their mothers, they will instinctively follow another hen. Ducks often lay eggs in other nests in addition to their own, said Kenn Kaufman, field editor of Audubon magazine. The mother duck will probably care for this crèche for a couple more weeks, the Audubon Society said. Wildlife photographer @brentcizekphoto recently captured this incredible photo of a Common Merganser mother with an adopted brood of 50+ chicks! here are a few pictures this species:

David Rave, a wildlife manager for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, told The New York Times that the common merganser is one of a number of birds that employ a sort of day care system known as a crèche. Essentially, hens leave their ducklings in the care of an older female duck that has experience raising babies. In the meantime, hopefully Cizek continues posting photos of this extended feathered family. And Cizek teased on Twitter that there might be a sighting of the mama duck on “The Tonight Show” on Friday night. “Can’t get enough of Mama Merganser”? Be sure to watch @jimmyfallon Friday night! I’ve heard she makes an appearance.
