Fred Flintstone joined celebrities in trouble with the law when a sheriff’s deputy in Pasco County, Florida, pulled him over Nov. 4 for speeding in a Wesley Chapel housing development. He was nabbed in a Smart car customized to look like the foot-powered caveman car seen in the 1960s cartoon series, according to local local station WPTV. Police identified the driver as Mr. Fred Flinstone (sic), and said his real name is Don Swartz.

That’s a Yabba Dabba Don’t! The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post that Flinstone (aka Swartz) “became irritated” after being issued a speeding citation, the barefoot driver “became unruly” and had to be detained, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said. He was later released with a notice to appear in court. “This is what Intelligence-Led Policing looked like in the stone age,” said the post, which included pictures of the vehicle and a barefoot driver dressed in Flintstones garb. The post jokes that the prehistoric Smart car was seized and is now part of the police fleet.

Douglas Peter Kelly, 49, found himself in jail after asking officers to test his meth.

“Remember, Investigators at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in Florida don’t meth around. Detectives are always ready to assist anyone who believes they were misled in their illegal drug purchase. Douglas Peter Kelly found that out the hard way on Tuesday when he purchased some crystal meth from his dealer that he thought wasn’t exactly up to speed. Investigators said Kelly wanted to “press charges” against the person who sold him the illegal drug a week earlier, fearing a rip-off, the 49-year-old contacted the sheriff’s office, saying that he wanted the drugs tested because he had a “bad reaction,” according to The Smoking Gun  so the drug unit detectives invited him to come in and have the contraband tested, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Kelly then drove to the sheriff’s office and allegedly gave detectives a crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. That positive test had negative results for Kelly, who was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and taken next door to the Putnam County Jail. He was released Wednesday afternoon on $2,500 bond. “Remember, our detectives are always ready to assist anyone who believes they were misled in their illegal drug purchase.” The sheriff’s office posted Kelly’s arrest on Facebook

Phil saw his shadow and the prediction was six more weeks of winter, however, spring came to Pennsylvania with a storm that brought more than 4 inches of snow on Wednesday and Thursday. Monroe County Sheriff Cpl. Scott Martin said, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back, I was tired of the rodent pretending to be a meteorologist so he issued a warrant and a wanted poster for Punxsutawney Phil under the crime of deception, Martin made the accusation because he is sick of the snow. If you see him give the Sheriff’s department a call, “we’d like to talk to him, take him into custody” Martin told local NBC affiliate WBRE-tv.
Ground hog day - February 2

But, Jefferson County Sheriff’s office issued this statement later in the day saying anyone who attempts to do anything to Phil will have problems with our Sheriff’s department, we have jurisdiction in this matter, after all, the groundhog’s hometown is Punxsutawney said Sheriff Carl Gotwald, my department will do whatever it takes to protect Phil from being arrested he also told Inside Edition. Phil’s handler, A. J. Dereume said he thinks the weather predicting groundhog is the subject of misplaced winter blues anger.
