Former baseball superstar Jose Canseco made his name hitting home runs, but his latest project is a pitch to go Bigfoot hunting. The baseball MVP is pitching a trip to what he claims are the sites of “ authentic alien sightings and proven Bigfoot habitats.”Canseco posted two tweets on Tuesday night offering to take a few lucky people on an expedition tracking the mythical beast and “a real alien.” @josecanseco (Go on a Bigfoot and alien Excursion with Jose Canseco contact Morgan Management at 702-374-3735). and, @josecanseco (Come spend the day with me and my alien Buddies I’ll show you Bigfoot and a real alien call Morgan at 702-374-3735). When HuffPost called the listed phone number and received this text message:
“Spend the weekend with Jose for $5000 cash. Only 5 lucky individuals will get a golden ticket. Oompa loompas ain’t got nothing on Bigfoot. Travel in his custom RV to authentic alien sightings and proven Bigfoot habitats. Camp out in the wild. Tell stories and maybe meet a real Bigfoot. You never know what’s gonna happen with Mr. Canseco. (Food included) Only serious inquiries please. I will help you book your flights to Vegas and set itineraries. Thank you. Morgan” The response said the first excursion was almost full.

This isn’t completely out of left field for the 54-year-old outfielder. A few weeks ago, Canseco posted a series of tweets claiming aliens had given him the secrets to time travel. Canseco has gotten kicks from making outrageous statements in the past, such as in July 2017, when he responded to the Me Too movement by bragging about being molested by lots of women. In July 2015, he said he planned to live as a woman for a week to better understand Caitlyn Jenner’s situation. In November 2014, he falsely claimed that his middle finger had come off during a poker game. Naturally, many people on Twitter had strong responses to the pitch: Adam Biehler @CenTexAg Replying to @JoseCanseco People used to make fun of me because my favorite player took steroids and took a homer off his dome but look at me now! MY favorite Bash Bro hangs with aliens. chareth cutestory @steven53844468 Replying to @JoseCanseco Will they be different aliens from last time? I don’t want to spend time with the same aliens.

Bristol International Balloon Fiesta 07-08-2003

Happy 40th birthday  to the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta! Europe’s largest ballooning event celebrates its 40th anniversary in southwest England this weekend. A half-million people are expected to attend the free fiesta. This year’s four-day festival at the Ashton Court Estate runs from Thursday to Sunday, and features 140 balloonists from around the world. To mark its landmark birthday, some favorite balloon shapes are returning to fly ― including Rupert the Bear and the Michelin Man. Mass ascents are scheduled to take place each afternoon from 6 p.m. local time. They’ll also begin at 6 a.m. local time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday ― which, depending on the wind direction, may give balloonists an eagle’s-eye view of local landmarks such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

All activities are weather dependent, however, and could be postponed at a moment’s notice if it’s too windy or rainy. The mass ascent on Saturday morning did go ahead, but then Saturday afternoon and the one on Sunday morning canceled. Thursday afternoon, Friday morning and Friday afternoon’s mass ascents were also canceled, due to adverse weather. Check out these photographs from this years weekend event.

Some lucky New Yorkers had a celebrity encounter this weekend that can only be described as cheesy. A rodent was seen on a New York subway claiming a piece of pizza as his own. Is it the famed “Pizza Rat” filmed gorging on a slice three years ago.  Michael Courant filmed the encounter for http://posterit  “I was totally in shock!” Courant told http://InsideEditiion.com. The latest Pizza Rat surfaced on the downtown 6 train tracks at the Lexington Avenue/59th Street station. The “Pizza Iguana,” “Taco Squirrel,” and “Bagel Pigeon” were unavailable for comment. “Unfortunately   Michael Courant did not get Pizza Rat’s phone number, but I overheard him talking about how he loves Patsy’s Pizzeria,” he told Inside Edition.Image result for free blog pics of pizza rat

“Everyone on the platform was in awe and pulled their phone out like we were seeing a UFO, no one seemed super grossed out, Many people acted like it was no big deal, which is standard protocol for New Yorkers.” The original Pizza Rat encounter struck a chord with many urban dwellers, for reasons best expressed by http://huffpost.com reporter Maxwell Strachan: Pizza Rat is the perfect metaphor for life in New York: He is hungry, he loves dollar pizza, he hates his life and he is trying to carry something that is way too heavy down the subway stairs because the elevator is broken. It’s almost too perfect.” Courant said he doesn’t believe this weekend’s pizza-toting rodent was the same one who went viral back in September 2015 but he jokes that, “he’s sure they are friends.”
