Today was a great day in music because of these pioneers. What have you done today to be the next to make a breakthrough in music? Be inspired or follow in their footsteps. Use them as a blueprint or decide to break the mold. Either way…we give a salute to these great moments in music history.

1968, Pink Floyd recorded their performance for the BBC 2 TV Omnibus – The Sound of Change show from Barnes Common, London, England. The special, also featured performances by The Who, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
1976, Genesis began their first North American tour since Peter Gabriel, with Phil Collins taking over as lead singer.
