As mentioned in the previous article, the local scene is abundant with talented women making their mark here in Orange County. I mentioned Nancy Flanaghan, drummer for The Timm Saxton  band, as well as a Cars Tribute and recently,a Runaways Tribute… personally cannot wait to hear this . She is joined by some amazingly talented musicians such as Emily Ingrao ,bass player for Double Helix…who was discovered by none other than Rick Agnew. Tribute bands often get mixed reviews. Talented musicians all, so much so that people often wonder “why not do original tunes?”  Whether you love them or hate them, they are here to stay!!! Any given weekend you can see and hear these tribute bands giving it their all in the many fantastic venues here in OC. Lets just take a look at a few of the all female tributes bands…. Iron Maidens, 2Hot2Handle, Allison Chains, Heart2Heart and Femme Halen just to name a few. But don’t take my word for it,get out there and see for yourself!! Here’s a post regarding the Runaways Band
